Stephen Dolginoff

Stephen Dolginoff is the writer, composer, and lyricist of the off-Broadway musical Thrill Me: The Leoppold & Loeb Story, for which he received nominations for the Drama Desk Award for Best Musical and Best Music and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best off-Broadway musical and won an ASCAP Music Award. Thrill Me has gone on to have over 300 productions, which have been staged in twenty-six countries and translated into seventeen languages (and counting). Stephen’s musical suspense thriller, Flames; his horror movie musical homage, Monster Makers; and Panic, his musical based on the story behind the “War of the Worlds” radio broadcast, are continually performed all over the world. For his early musicals in New York, Stephen received a Backstage Bistro Award for Outstanding Book, Music & Lyrics and a MAC Award nomination. Stephen holds a BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU/Tisch School of the Arts. His memoir Thrill Maker, which recounts the entire thirty year history of Thrill Me, was published to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the crime that inspired the musical.
